APPT Grand Final Sydney
[ Posted December 6th, 2008 ] by contract
Level 20 – Blinds are 8000 / 16000 with 2000 ante 13 out of 477 Players remaining
The action has been very eventful with many big names missing out on the cash. Noteable exits include past WSOP champion - Joe Hachem. The current WSOP champion Peter Eastgate (who had a last longer bet with Bill ‘the Croc’ Argyros – which didn’t eventuate because both players busted on different day 1′s, with the bet standing only if one made the money). Chris Moneymaker was the only other World Champion in the mix and although he did last longer than the others, he still busted out before cashing. Tony Hachem did last longer than his famous brother but busted out before the 48th place money finish cut-off. Gavin Griffin, who started day1 in spectacular fashion by dominating his table all day, ended up at the rail before cashing. Others out of the money were John Juanda, last years champ Grant Levy and a host of others. The one and only woman standing is young Aussie Lisa Delellis. Let’s hope an Aussie can keep this title in Australia. Be sure to check back for updates. Qualify for the next Asia Pacific Poker Tour Event through PokerStars
