Queens of Poker

Some of the greatest female poker players in the world are listed below. They have proved they can hold their own in a game traditionally dominated by men. Most of them believe they have an advantage in being female when at the poker table. Using their perception and intuition they have changed the way men think about women when it comes to poker.

Annie Duke Annie Duke
Phil Hellmuth has described her as "the best all-around woman poker player in the world today". Quite a complement coming from a poker Great. Taught how to play by her pro brother Howard Lederer, she saw almost instant results finishing 10th in her first WSOP main event. Now a model to female players around the world, Annie has written a book about her life and her poker strategy. Duke is currently the women's all time leading money winner in the WSOP. In 2004 she won the World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions and as of 2005 she has 1 WSOP bracelets and tournament winnings exceeding $3.1 million.
Kathy Liebert Kathy Liebert
Somewhat of a female poker pioneer Kathy Liebert is a great player, not just a great female player. In 2002 she won the first Party Poker Million event. She has made made numerous final tables in the WPT. As of 2005 she has 1 WSOP bracelets and tournament winnings exceeding $2.4 million. A poker great.
Jennifer Harman Jennifer Harman
Mainly known as a Hi-Limit cash player, Harman has recently moved into the tournament scene with great success. She has won 2 WSOP bracelets and as of 2005 her tournament winnings exceed $1.4 million. She contributed to Doyle Brunson's SuperSystem 2 ( The Bible of Poker ) penning the Limit Hold'em chapter. She is respected worldwide for her poker skills and is one of the greatest female players ever.
Cyndy Violette Cyndy Violette
Violette is a well known face in the world of poker. She is regarded as one of the best female players in the world and somewhat of a verteran in womens poker. Starting out as a Dealer she soon moved to playing for a living. Her main game is 7 card stud and in 2004, after 18 years of play, won her first WSOP bracelet in her pet event. As of 2005 her tournament winnings exceed $675,000.
Isabelle Mercier Isabelle Mercier
Isabelle "No Mercy" Mercier is a fresh new school player on her way up. With an aggressive style she has had heads turning and acknowledging her skills and good looks. In 2004 she won the World Poker Tour Ladies Night event. As of 2006 her tournament winnings exceed $360,000. We expect to see more action from this exciting new player in the future.
Evelyn Ng Evelyn Ng
Known by her nickname "Evybabee" this canadian beauty is a rising talent. She started out dealing blackjack and then poker before moving to the other side of the table. Most famous for placing 2nd in the World Poker Tour Ladies Night event, she plays alot of poker online. As of 2005 her tournament winnings exceed $110,000.
