Jerry Yang walked away with $8.25 Million USD, a WSOP bracelet and a slice of history. Outlasting over 6,300 budding opponents Jerry made it to the final table as one of the shorter stacks. His intentions from the very beginning were clear. After winning the first two hands with his super aggressive play, he went on rampage to eliminate a number of players and finally be the only man standing. Here’s how the final hand went down… It was Hand# 204 of the final table which saw Yang defeat Tuan Lam. Jerry Yang is on the button, acting first he raises to 2.3million. Tuan Lam then pushes all-in for 22.2million. Jerry Yang then thinks for a while and then makes the call. Jerry Yang turns over Lam then turns over It’s a classic race situation, and the crowd in the room were erupting in cheer as they waited for the community cards. The flop comes Lam has hit his Queen, the crowd realise Lam is a big favourite to double up and make a real match of it.
