Victorian Poker Championship

19 year old Kris Evenstad from Norway wins the $1650 buy-in, 2006 Victorian Poker Championship main event, and collecting a cool $112,100 along the way. He beat a record field of 404 players to win.
The tournament finished at 3.25am in the morning with the last hand of the tournament. Both players check a flop of 6h-4s-3h then Savage went all in on the turn which was a 5s. Evenstad quickly called the bet and Savage turned over Qc6d for top pair while Evenstad turned over Jd2d for the sucker straight. The river didn't help Savage, as Evenstad took down the tournament.

Final Table Payouts
1st Kristoffer Evenstad (Norway) $112,110
2nd Ben Savage (Australia) $81,810
3rd Michael Frydman (Australia) $61,812
4th Steve Buuya (Australia) $48,480
